A loving reminder to all to please donate to our church as you are able. Our staff is creatively working to keep God’s word and services coming to our church community in these challenging times. We need your support to enable them and to pay the usual monthly utility, mortgage, and other similar costs!
Use any of the following options to donate to Bethlehem:
- Personal paper checks
- Cash
- Online banking (typically automatically mails the church a check based on your chosen parameters of amount and frequency; in the memo line you can optionally specify use)
- Stock (BLC’s account at LPL Financial is #1483-0905 and the DTC Code is #0075. Ask your broker to add your name to the comment line, and also send an email to the BLC office to explain how you want your donation to be used.)
- VANCO (New)
Vanco is a mobile or online (PC) giving option depending on which you prefer to use. You can download the app to your mobile phone (Apple or Android) or access online on your computer. The overall idea is to donate to Bethlehem with the use of your bank account (ACH), debit, or credit card. There is a processing fee for the use of Vanco (credit/debit cards 2.7% of the donation and ACH Bank Account 1.15% of the donation); however, you have the option to donate the fee amount.
To set up Vanco:
- Choose:
- download the mobile phone app from the app store: Vanco Mobile Faith Engagement
- or use this link on your computer
- Search for “Bethlehem” and choose OUR location (Bethlehem Lutheran Church 526 East 52nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205 – look for the red doors).
- Or if prompted for a Church Invite Code, type: H2A862 and select Join Organization.
- When prompted, enter your personal giving information (name, email and password). Click Create Account.
- Mobile Instructions: Click Give and add the appropriate information as prompted:
- amount (watch for the decimals!),
- Give to (General Fund, CR/Helping Hams, Youth Mission, Memorials, Stephen Ministry, Food Pantries, and Debt Reduction are the current choices)
- Frequency of payment (Once now, Once future date, Every week, Every two weeks and monthly). You may need to enter a starting date.
- Online (PC) instructions:
- Click on the red button for the appropriate giving fund you wish to contribute
- Enter Amount, Frequency and Start Date
- Click Add to the Basket
- Verify information and click Continue to Payment
- Select or enter a payment method. The first time, you will add one or more of the source-giving options: your credit or debit card numbers and/or Bank Account (ACH) information, including routing and account numbers.
- You may optionally check a box to pay the fees, which, otherwise, will be deducted from each donation.
- When all your information is entered, click a final button to “give” (mobile) or “Continue to review/Submit” (PC).
The church office will be able to run reports that list donations given through Vanco. You are able to see what you have donated by choosing the “transactions” icon on the home page of the mobile app. These transactions will also be listed on your year-end Contribution Statement.
